Short answer (6 Nov 2026): Rajasthan has proposed nine greenfield expressways, about 2,756 km in all. Only Kotputli–Kishangarh (181 km in most reports) has a bidding date, planned for November 2026. Four of the nine start or pass near Jaipur, and two of those, Jaipur–Pachpadra and Bikaner–Kotputli, are being built by NHAI.

Which ones matter for Jaipur land

1. Kotputli–Kishangarh: the nearest to construction

Reports describe a four-lane (some say six-lane) corridor from the NH-48/NH-448 junction at Kishangarh to NH-148B at Kotputli. Patrika put the cost at about ₹6,906 crore in March 2026 and said 50 villages were identified for land acquisition in May 2026. Read our route and update log, or the Hindi version.

2. Jaipur–Pachpadra: NHAI, starts in Jaipur

About 350 km via Kishangarh, Ajmer, Pali and Jodhpur to the Pachpadra refinery area in Balotra district. It matters most for the Ajmer Road side of Jaipur. Compare it with the existing Ajmer Road infrastructure update.

3. Beawar–Bharatpur: shortened

A November 2025 Patrika report says this expressway will now be built only from Bharatpur to near Bagru, where it meets the Jaipur–Pachpadra line. That changes which villages are affected, so older village lists for the full 342 km may no longer apply.

4. Bikaner–Kotputli and Sri Ganganagar–Kotputli

Both end at Kotputli, which is why Kotputli appears in so many headlines. Only Bikaner–Kotputli has an agency (NHAI) confirmed in the pages we opened.

5. Jaipur–Bhilwara and Jaipur–Phalodi

Proposed from Jaipur. We found no bid date, alignment or village list for either, so treat any plot being sold on their name as unverified.

Check before you buy near any of them

  1. Is the alignment notified? A news map is not a notification.
  2. Is your village and khasra number in the land-acquisition notification? Ask the district collector’s land-acquisition branch. See khasra, khata and jamabandi.
  3. Which agency builds it, NHAI or RSRDC? The notification process differs.
  4. Where will the interchanges and access roads be? Prices follow access, not the line on the map.
  5. Is the land agricultural? Read our conversion guide before paying for a “plot”.

Frequently asked questions

How many greenfield expressways is Rajasthan planning?
Nine, covering about 2,756 km, as announced in the state budget of July 2024. Reports say five are targeted for completion by 2030. Only one, Kotputli–Kishangarh, has reached the bidding stage.

Which Rajasthan expressways touch Jaipur?
Jaipur–Pachpadra (NHAI), Jaipur–Bhilwara, Jaipur–Phalodi and Beawar–Bharatpur, which a November 2025 report says will now run from Bharatpur to near Bagru and join the Jaipur–Pachpadra line. Kotputli–Kishangarh and the two Kotputli routes pass north and north-west of the city.

Which expressways will NHAI build?
Jaipur–Pachpadra and Bikaner–Kotputli were moved from the state to NHAI in July 2025. In October 2026 the Chief Minister asked NHAI to speed up land acquisition for them.

Which expressway is closest to construction?
Kotputli–Kishangarh. Reports say the state plans to invite bids in November 2026, and a Stage-I forest clearance for package 1 was reported on 5 November 2026. See the dated update log.

Will land near an expressway get more expensive?
Often near interchanges and access roads, but not automatically and not before the alignment is notified. Alignments have changed between announcement and notification, so check the notification before paying a premium.
